La Bergerie – A Timeless Oasis in the Heart of the French Countryside

Hidden among the rolling hills of southwestern France lies La Bergerie, an old, lovingly restored sheepfold that now serves as an idyllic holiday retreat. The name – French for “the sheepfold” – recalls the rich history of this place, where shepherds and their flocks once shared the silence of the valley. Today, La Bergerie still exudes the same peace and simplicity, with the comforts of today.

When you drive down the path that winds through fields and forests, the cottage appears like a postcard: natural stone, wooden shutters and an inviting terrace with a robust outdoor fireplace. Here you can dine in the evening sun, with a glass of wine and the soft sound of nature in the background. The terrace overlooks a large garden that slowly slopes down to a beautiful valley, where cows graze lazily under the blue sky.

Inside, it is cosy and light. La Bergerie has two charming bedrooms with wooden beamed ceilings and comfortable beds. For families, there is space to add two extra beds – perfect for children who love adventure and conviviality.

The open kitchen is compact but fully equipped, ideal for transforming local produce into a delicious meal. In the fresh morning dew you can enjoy your coffee on the terrace, and in the warm afternoon you can take a refreshing dip in the above-ground pool, and then relax with a book under the shade of a tree.

The garden is a world of its own – with places to play, laze or simply enjoy the enchanting view. Here you live to the rhythm of nature: in the evening you hear owls calling, and in the morning you wake up to the mooing of cows and the singing of birds.

La Bergerie is more than a holiday home. It is a place where memories are born, where simplicity becomes luxury and where every sunset is magical.

€95 per night. Minimum stay: 3 nights

Deposit €100 payable upon arrival and refunded upon departure, minus any damages.

The use of a wood burning stove is possible during the colder months. Wood is provided for an additional charge of €10.00 per basket. Please let us know in advance, so we can prepare it for you.

Use of an electric heater is permitted; you pay €0.30 per kWh.
